Ever since the two operating systems emerge as clear competitors to each other, this question has been asked perpetually by people who have no idea what phone to get. Of course, the fact that there is a choice is a good thing as it means that people can select an operating system that is best fitting for their needs and daily use case. There are some things that both systems do equally though. For example, gamblers will be satisfied with either as they both work fine when visiting more options online to win money. There are certainly some differences that people will need to be aware of before they make a decision.
Who is king?
One thing that can be said about Apple is that they certainly know what they are doing when it comes to marketing. Since the iPhone was created, it has become their biggest earner, and they understandably want to capitalise on that. This is why virtually the whole world has or has heard of an iPhone; Apple wanted to spread the word as much as possible. Given this, there is no doubt that iOS is more popular than Android, but this does not necessarily mean that it is better.
The reason for Apple’s dominance in the phone sector is that they simply know who their customers are. People buy an Apple product for its minimalist approach, yet they are always somehow packed with features that don’t slow the device down at all. Every step of the user journey has been designed to be as easy to follow as possible, and this can be seen in the software itself. It is hard to disagree with the notion that the software found on Apple devices is great, and it is a key reason why people keep coming back to the brand year after year. Things like FaceTime, iMessage and more have become very popular, and it is hard to see this popularity ever fading.
How does Android fare?
On the other hand, people also have the choice to purchase an Android phone instead, and those who do are usually the ones who are looking for the most bang for their buck when it comes to mobile phones. There is no doubt that iPhones demand a hefty premium for the privilege of owning one, but this is not true of Android phones. As Android is an open-source operating system, many phone makers can use it as a foundation to create their own phones. This is why there are so many android phones such as the Samsung Galaxy or the Google Pixel. It is this range that allows people on a budget to select a great phone.
This is not to say that the hardware on Android phones is worse. They can do premium too and can even beat iPhones when it comes to important factors like battery, camera and more. There is certainly a stigma when it comes to owning an Android phone, but those who are interested in value over popular software will likely prefer an Android option instead of a device made by Apple.
