Minecraft is one of the oldest and most popular 8-bit sandbox games in the world. A “sandbox game” is a video game where the player has the freedom and flexibility to explore the game world as they like, and there is no fixed deadline to complete the objectives by.
Developed by Mojang Studios, Minecraft was first released in 2009 and has since become a very important part of video games and pop culture. The video game has a procedurally-generated world that is made of 3D blocks. Minecraft Mods are user-made modifications to the original game, which have come about as a result of the game’s popularity.

How Does A Player Use Minecraft Mods?
Mods in Minecraft are generally developed by third-party game developers and individuals,
who then release the mod out for anyone to install. It has been theorized by many that the
mods are one of the biggest reasons behind the incredible success of Minecraft as a video
game.
These mods are so popular and influential that certain Minecraft Mods are actually used to teach children the basics of coding, game development, and computer programming. These mods enhance gameplay and also improve the overall game environment at the same time.
Who Is MrBeast?
MrBeast is the YouTube alter-ego of Jimmy Donaldson, a 22-year old content creator based out of Greenville, North Carolina. MrBeast is well-known in the YouTube and online influencer
community because of his expensive stunts and philanthropy.
Most of his videos feature elaborate stunts that are designed to attract the attention of viewers and investors. MrBeast started posting videos on his channel from 2013, but he remained undiscovered until 2017 when he posted a video of himself counting to 100,000. Donaldson is also one of the founders of Team Trees, a fundraising organization dedicated to tree conservation.
Recently, MrBeast posted a YouTube video titled “I downloaded 1000+ Minecraft Mods!”
where he and his friends download and apply a large number of mods. Then, they have a
spirited competition where the participants basically have to try to die the least number of
times.
The person who dies the most will have to go to the nearest Walmart and buy a hundred Barbie dolls, which would then be donated to charity or distributed among the children of colleagues/co-workers. Participating here with MrBeast were two of his closest and oldest friends, Chandler and Karl. The video was very entertaining.
What Happens In The Video?
The first thing that all the participants did was go on to the internet and download and install as many good Minecraft Mods they could find. According to the claim made by MrBeast, they all downloaded and applied more than a thousand mods, which made gameplay very chaotic and fun.
Right at the outset, MrBeast and Karl predict that Chandler will be the one who will lose and will have to end up buying a hundred Barbie dolls. However, when they start playing, Karl is actually the first one whose character dies immediately. This doesn’t stop here, as his character dies seven successive deaths. At one point MrBeast’s character dies too, killed by a cow.
Around this time, MrBeast announces a new rule in the competition. For every diamond
that the participants manage to find within the game, one of their deaths is reduced. This was
done so that the participants could find some sort of objective within the game and they
wouldn’t go around wandering aimlessly all over the Minecraft universe. It seems that in their
current mod, farm animals are very dangerous because Chandler’s player dies immediately
after being attacked by a pig.
The Giant Tree
After a few minutes of running around the universe of the mod, all three players notice a giant tree in the distance. They all start making their way towards the tree then. Karl has managed to get a grip on his character and has managed to keep himself alive for the longest time now.
Near the base of the giant tree, the three players also start getting attacked by three people. This is obviously a part of the Minecraft Mods that they installed, which borrows characteristics from the Ents in Professor Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Their Minecraft Mods had more scary stuff in store for them, as they immediately started being chased by ostriches and scorpions.
Chandler’s player was targeted very frequently, and he soon overtook Karl’s character in the total number of deaths. Karl was very freaked out by the sudden appearance of a giant scorpion in the distance and then found his character being chased by something which they started calling the “Grim Reaper” and “Death”.
At the same time, MrBeast goes back to check out the cows and he ends up getting chased by them. Meanwhile, Karl is killed by a bird. Finally, Karl narrowly escaped defeat after Chandler’s character died at the last moment. Their total tallies were – Chandler with 16 deaths, Jimmy with 10 deaths, and Karl with 15 deaths.
